The “Germano Ettore” estate lies on one of the most important crus of Serralunga d’Alba in Barolo – “Cerretta”. Germano’s 6.6 hectares of vineyards are dedicated to the cultivation of grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo, while a smaller area is reserved for Riesling and the indigenous white grape Nascetta.
The Germano family has been growing grapes in the area since 1856 which suggests that have an intimate knowledge of the land and the vines. The great-grandfather Francis, then grandfather Alberto, had been cultivating the vineyards, producing small amounts of wine, but mainly by selling grapes. Today, Sergio and his wife Elena run the entire show, from viticulture to wine making and sales.
We are very excited to welcome Sergio from Ettore Germano to host a wonderful evening of Piedmont wines and matching food.
The line-up for the evening is:
