Borgogno have been making stunning Piedmont wines since 1761 and represent a true expression of traditional Barolo in Piedmont.
We have been stocking Borgogno wines for years and we keep going back for more – why? Their wines, whilst being very traditional – not an oak barrique to be found – speak of where they are grown and made, namely the village of Barolo itself. The wines are unashamedly old school – but not old fashioned – they are pure, lively and what good Piedmont wines should taste like.
Come and join us, along with the head winemaker Andrea Farinetti to explore a range of Borgogno wines – including two single vineyard Barolos and two vintages of their Riserva Barolo.
As usual, our chef will be preparing a sumptuous feast to accompany these wonderful wines from Piedmont.
The wines we will be tasting on the evening are:
Canapes with Langhe Freisa 2014
Wild Mushroom Sformato with Barolo 2011
Slow cooked pig cheeks and grilled polenta with
Barolo Cannubi 2011 & Barolo Liste 2011
Onglet steak, salt beef butter, potato gratin and seasonal vegetables with
Barolo Riserva 1996 & Barolo Riserva 2008
Cheese Course with
We look forward to seeing you all there for this amazing evening of Piemontese wines and food.
